Almotriptan works on serotonin receptors involved in migraine attacks. It helps relieve migraine symptoms by targeting migraine-related blood vessel and pain pathway changes.

Almotriptan generic vs Almogran brand: what is the difference?

Generic almotriptan is usually cheaper because it is made after the original brand’s patent protection has ended. Generic medicines must still meet required standards for quality, safety and effectiveness.

Why is generic Almotriptan cheaper than branded Almogran?

The usual adult dose is one 12.5mg tablet. A second dose may be taken if symptoms reappear within 24 hours, provided there is at least 2 hours between doses. The maximum recommended dose is two doses in 24 hours.
