Cholera Vaccine

Cholera is a bacterial infection that affects the intestines, causing severe diarrhoea and dehydration. It is primarily spread through contaminated water or food, particularly in areas with poor sanitation. Cholera can lead to rapid dehydration, which can be life-threatening if not treated promptly. Symptoms include watery diarrhoea, vomiting, and muscle cramps. Cholera is preventable with proper hygiene, sanitation, and vaccination. Treatment involves rehydration and, in some cases, antibiotics. 

Cholera is most common in parts of Africa, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the Caribbean. It often occurs in regions with inadequate sanitation, poor water quality, and limited access to healthcare.
