Clotrimazole is a type of antifungal medication that is effective against skin infections e.g. ringworms, nappy rash and vaginal and penile thrush. Clotrimazole cream can relieve the external irritation and itchiness from thrush in women and their partners, including men. Since the cream is for external use, women should also use a product such as Fluconazole oral capsule or Clotrimazole pessary for treating the internal (vaginal) infection at the same time.
