Colpermin IBS Relief is indicated for treating the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The active ingredient is peppermint oil, which relaxes the spasm of the bowel wall to relieve pain,  bloating and trapped wind. It can be used by children aged 15 years and over and adults.

IBS is a condition in which there is spasm, pain and bloating at almost any point between the groin, the navel and the sides, and may be accompanied by bouts of diarrhoea and constipation. The symptoms may appear or worsen during periods of stress feeling and anxiety.

Peppermint oil has soothing properties and it works by relaxing the smooth muscles on the bowel wall to relieve pain, spasm and bloating.

How does Colpermin IBS Relief help my IBS?

Many clinical studies have been done and there are clear evidence that peppermint oil relieves the symptoms of IBS especially pain, spasm and bloating (Reena Khanna et al. 2014).

One capsule three times a day. This dosage may be increased to two capsules three times a day if discomfort is severe.

The capsules should be taken until symptoms resolve which would normally be within one or two weeks. The treatment can be continued for longer periods of between 2 to 3 months, when symptoms are more persistent.

- Colpermin may cause Heartburn, reflux, feeling sick.
