Hepatitis A + B Vaccine

Combined hepatitis A and B vaccination is available at our Wimbledon pharmacy clinic, following an assessment of your suitability. Our pharmacist will review your medical history, previous vaccinations and travel plans, then explain the appropriate vaccine and course for your age and needs.

The standard Twinrix course consists of three doses, usually given at your first appointment, one month later and six months after the first dose. Book an appointment to discuss your vaccination requirements.

• Course: 3 doses.
• Schedule: First appointment, 1 month later and 6 months after the first dose.
• Protection and boosters: Hepatitis A protection is expected to last at least 25 years after completing the course; a booster is recommended at 25 years if you remain at risk. Hepatitis B protection is long-lasting, and routine boosters are generally unnecessary for people with a healthy immune system.
• Age suitability: Twinrix Adult is for ages 16 and over. Children aged 1–15 require Twinrix Paediatric.
