Optrex allergy 2% eye drops contains the active ingredient called Sodium Cromoglicate. This medicine belongs to a group called anti-allergics. Optrex allergy is used for prevention and treatment of eye allergies. Such symptoms include itchy, watery, red or inflamed eyes and puffy eyelids.

The active ingredient, Sodium Cromoglicate, prevents the formation of chemicals (i.e. histamine) which cause the allergic symptoms and irritation. 

How does Optrex allergy eye drops help allergies?

Sodium Cromoglicate has been in clinical use for many years and the safety and efficacy is well established. This medicine, in other forms, is also used for other medical uses such as treating asthma symptoms especially those caused by allergens.  

Does Optrex allergy eye drops really help?

Gently put one or two drops in each eye four times a day.
